51¸£ÀûAT1 to Launch on SpaceX’s Falcon Heavy

It’s been years in the making, but the 51¸£Àû’s own 51¸£ÀûAT1 is mounted and ready to launch on board SpaceX’s Falcon Heavy, June 24, from Kennedy Space Center Launch Complex 39A.

51¸£Àû Space Systems Academic Group researchers Dan Sakoda and Ron Phelps traveled to Cape Canaveral, Florida last week to help mount 51¸£ÀûAT into the rocket’s payload at the Payload Processing Facility.

The launch – the third for the Falcon Heavy and the first at night – will be broadcast live on on Monday, June 24 at 8:00 p.m., with a scheduled launch time of 8:30 p.m.
