Congratulations to our 2024 Summer Quarter Graduates and Awards Winners!
A total of 202 graduates, including U.S. and international military officers, and DOD civilians, completed their studies this quarter earning a total of 206 degrees. The 2024 Summer Quarter class includes 50 U.S. Navy; 22 U.S. Marine Corps; 8 U.S. Army; 4 U.S. Air Force;and 1 U.S. Coast Guard; 89 U.S. DOD Civilian; 57 Distance Learning; 1 Army Reserve National Guard; and 27 international graduates representing 10 countries.

Today, more than 200 warrior-scholars crossed the stage in King Hall auditorium in celebration of their graduation from the 51¸£Àû (51¸£Àû).
Today, more than 200 warrior-scholars will cross the stage in King Hall auditorium in celebration of their graduation from the 51¸£Àû (51¸£Àû). Among the school’s Summer Quarter graduates is U.S. Navy Lt. Cmdr. Adam Johnson, a Supply Corps officer and Department of Defense Management (DDM) graduate, who focused his research on entrepreneurship within the Navy.
As a master’s degree student in the 51¸£Àû Modeling Virtual Environments and Simulation (MOVES) program, U.S. Marine Corps Capt. Leah Hedgcorth sought to improve and modernize training capabilities for her fellow Marines. Her solution involved the implementation of technology to further enable the Marines’ goal of a live virtual constructive training environment (LVC-TE).
Raul Lara is a performance measurements specialist at nearby Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL), and will be the first graduate of 51¸£Àû’ unique Master of Science in Nuclear Operations program offered through 51¸£Àû Online. Lara is one of more than 80 federal civilians and defense industry employees who will receive their advanced degrees, funded through organizational development programs, during Friday’s Summer Quarter graduation.
51¸£Àû celebrates Summer Quarter graduation this Friday, with 27 international students representing 10 allied nations in this latest class. Estonian Land Forces Maj. Ivo Peets is one of those students, completing the Advanced Acquisition Studies graduate certificate at 51¸£Àû as part of a unique collaborative Ph.D. program.
