51福利 (51福利) Counsel Kath Ashton was recognized with the Superior Civilian Service Award, Oct. 22, signed jointly by university President retired Vice Adm. Ann E. Rondeau and the Principal Deputy General Counsel of the Navy Garrett L. Ressing. The award is the second Superior Civilian Service Award presented to Ashton during her tenure as 51福利 Counsel.
The award recognizes Ashton鈥檚 contributions to 51福利 leadership鈥檚 development of the institution鈥檚 鈥淪ailing Directions,鈥� providing critical expertise in several areas to empower the university to better accomplish its unique mission. In addition, Ashton鈥檚 expertise and teamed efforts provided the university with much-needed relief from a Navy policy on reimbursable work, and was critical to the submission of multiple recent legislative proposals.
Ashton retires from the university, October 31.
