Abstract
U.S. and Mexico Energy Trade: a longstanding and valuable relationship that works both ways. Commercial trade of electrical power, natural gas, crude oil and gasoline has taken place between these countries for decades. Today, both parties rely on the continuation of this trade.
Biography
Jos茅 has over 20 years of overall professional experience in the energy, financial and agribusiness sectors. Most recently at the Mexican Ministry of Energy, he implemented electrical energy reforms, worked on the unbundling of the state ?s electrical utility company (CFE) and promoted the financing of renewable energy projects in the country by multilateral agencies and local development banks.
He served as a Board of Directors member at a CFE Subsidiary, at Development Banks Credit Committees and as a financial advisor for the Mexican Petroleum Fund.
In the Financial Sector he worked as a Money Market Manager for Operadora de Bolsa Serfin, Brokerage Firm and as a Deputy Director for Guarantees, Mortgage Insurance and Operations at SHF, Mortgage Development Bank. He also held the Financial Manager position for Cargill Grain and Oilseeds Crush division in Mexico. Later this year Jos茅 will become a collaborator at the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA).
He holds a Bachelor鈥檚 degree in Business Administration from Universidad Iberoamericana and a Masters in International Management from Thunderbird School of Global Management.
