BYOD Strategies to Support eLearning - Cyber Academic Group
Shing, Man Tak
The proposed research will address the security and technical concerns of CDET in incorporating the Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) for eLearning. While the use of BYOD can lessen the financial and technical burden for DoD to provide and maintain mobile devices for unclassified usage, new methods and procedures must be developed to ensure that these BYODs can be used in ways, which are in line with DoD regulations. The focus of research will be on the policy, applicability and implementation of a BYOD-acceptable environment that supports the Department of the Navy (DoN) and the members within. The goal is to identify the necessary steps required to allow service members and civilians to use their own personal devices to accomplish online requirements such as eLearning, annual training, and department directives.
