The Naval War College (NWC) Monterey program for Joint Professional Military Education (JPME) recognized 15 graduates from its latest class earning academic honors for the Winter AY’2021 Quarter.
Graduates earning “with Highest Distinction” honors by completing the JPME program in the top five percent of their class are Army Majs. Kevin A. Butler and Frank G. Foss; Army Capt. Mark E. Mayor; Marine Corps Capt. Melanie J. Molano.
Graduates earning “with Distinction” honors by completing the JPME program in the top 15 percent of their class are Army Majs. Kurt A. Carlson and Richard M. Lofthouse, Jr.; Marine Corps Maj. Jordan T. Lester; Navy Lt. Cmdrs. Jami Garrett and Austin C. West; Navy Lts. Tyler J. Barker, John J. Heyde, Brian A. Howell, Alex J. O’Konski, Daniella P. Sepulveda, and Wei Y. Wu.
Through the 51-NWC partnership, a total of 5,980 officers have earned their Joint Professional Military Education Phase I certification since the program’s inception in September 1999.
